Our Trip to Wisconsin

I had been blogging pretty regularly and now after such a long break I am not sure how to get started again.  We had a wonderful visit with our Daughter, Son in Law and three Adorable Grandchildren.  It was fun, relaxing, and so great to be together.

We took a drive to Lake Michigan, the kids called it the ocean

Before we could say anything the kids were running in the water and soaked

Papa and the grand kids enjoying some time outside on a beautiful day

Every one working hard on a special project

Fabric pumpkins to decorate their home.

Guess where we went for lunch one day

It was great fun to all go out for dinner one night.
Every other night we had a nice dinner cooked by Julie.
We also enjoyed a chili supper and bonfire at their church one evening.

We had a wonderful trip, even if we were moved to the back row of the plane on two of our flights.  The back of the plane is not where we would choose to sit but we survived and feel blessed to have had the opportunity to take the trip.

I have some pictures of Brad and Julie's flower beds and was going to post them on "Bloomin Tuesday" last week but due to the fact that our freezer went out and cooking all week I didn't get it done.  I will try to share them soon.

I lived in Waukesha, WI for about 8 years and I loved it! I'm looking forward to seeing the Wisconsin flower beds!

The pumpkins y'all made are adorable, and they can rememeber you each year in the Fall when they take them out to decorate ;)
Blessings and I am glad you are home safely!

  9. What a fabulous post. Your family is so happy. You are good grandparents and your grandchildren, and daughter and son(in-law), will appreciate all the effort of your visits throughout their life. I know how much I appreciate my mom and dad and the time they spend on my kids. Thanks for sharing your trip.
