A Faithful Friend Stitch A-Long

I have completed the embroidered blocks for my A Faithful Friend quilt.  I love the way each one has turned out.  The directions for piecing the quilt together will be posted on the 7th of September.  Piecing the quilt will be more of a challenge for me because I do not have as much experience with this part of the project.
I am sure it is not to late to start this and you will love working on this quilt if you like to embroider.  Visit Lenna Green at Little Green Cottage and learn more about this and her other great designs.

I also have a link to this stitch-a-long on my sidebar.

Here are the blocks laid out on our table with the fabrics I have chosen to complete it with.  I chose many of the same fabrics used in the original design.

I love the simplicity of each block and the use of color and detail in the stitches Lenna chose.

I am looking forward to the next step, cutting the blocks down and beginning to cut and sew the fabrics in to a quilt.

  3. Oh Sherry, what a project you have taken on! Each square is darling. I could do the block part, but like you I have never put one together! I can't wait to see it finished!
