Baby Shoes and Ladybugs

First I want to share a fun book full of great projects.
Cute and Easy Quilting and Stitching by Charlotte Liddle.  Whenever I buy a book I try to check it out at the library first to see if there are enough projects in it that I would like to do.  This was one that after I looked through it I decided to get a copy right away.  I am going to share the first project I have made from this book.

I knew I had to give these little baby shoes a try when I saw this picture.

Last week when there was a baby shower for my daughter Amy and daughter in law Cammie who are both expecting daughters, this was the perfect time to make these sweet shoes.

I had so much fun making these little shoes but ran out of time to get more that two pairs made.

The invitation is so cute.

The occasion was a baby shower for both little girls held at our church.  The shower was planned and coordinated by their sweet friend Vil who is the one on the right in the picture below.

We all had a fun time together and the soon to arrive babies received so many wonderful gifts, including a few matching outfits. We are all excited about the two little girls expected to arrive within a week of each other in May.

  1. Double Congratulations Grandma. How fun to combine and have one shower. Your little baby shoes are super adorable and I must make some! I actually have two patterns awaiting my attention. Why am I postponing? Oh yeah...my girlfriend is snowbirding and we want to make them together. Maybe by May. Happy Healthy Babies...
