Vintage Quilt Top

Vintage from Camille Roskelley's Simply Retro book.  I made this quilt top using fabrics I had.  Some were scraps so I even had to piece one of the square blocks below.  I think once it is quilted it won't be to noticeable.

The borders went on nicely so now I am ready to quilt it myself.  Finding the time is the biggest issue, I will share it when it is really complete.

I did a little survey in my sewing space of the projects that have been started, almost finished and the projects not yet started but all of the materials are sorted and ready to go.  I am going to count the projects in each category and  make a list.  Then I am going to post  about how I intend to complete and cross some projects off my list before the end of the year.  The trick will be to make myself stop starting new projects for a while.  Does anyone else have trouble with this?
So much to do, so little time.

  1. I really like this quilt. It is simple but oh so charming! I can't wait to see it quilted. Oh and Yes! I too have so many projects started and so many that I want to do. It's crazy but, I guess that is half the fun of any hobby, right :)

  2. Oh Yes...I hope lots of us creative types have good intentions and want to do it all. This quilt top has a lovely soft vintage vibe and is divine. Your sorting and listing and organizing will really help in finishing (or weeding out the non-essential)projects. I find that when I blog about something it helps me be accountable to myself to actually do what I say I am going to do. ;o) Creative Happy Hearts Dear...
