One Stitch at a Time for June

Kathy Schmitz is a needle work designer.  She has a subscription you can sign up for called One Stitch at a Time.  For two dollars a month you will receive an embroidery design in your email.  This is the first one, the June design called Home Sweet Nest.  Visit Kathy's blog here if you are interested in signing up to receive the embroidery designs.

I made this in to a pillow for a special friend.  I did the embroidery and then went through my fabric stash to choose the fabrics for the pillow.

The fabrics are from the Farmhouse collection by Fig Tree Quilts.  I have always liked Fig Tree fabric lines and I bought a stack of fat quarters in the Farmhouse line.  I am using these fabrics in my Row by Row quilt.  It is fun to work on a project that can be completed in just a few days.  Now it is time to get back to the binding on my tumblers quilt.  It is a gift for a sweet little girl and I should get it in the mail soon.

I will be linking to Stitch-In Days where you can see the embroidery  or other needlework stitching lovers are doing.

Fabric, Fabric, and More Fabric

This is the fabric I have set aside for my Maggie's First Dance Block of the Month.  The first block is out and many people have shared their completed blocks but I have not found the time to get started.  I am determined to get at it soon. I always enjoy participating in Jacquelynne Steves' block of the month.

I went to visit my dear friend Melanie and came home with some beautiful fabrics. This is some of the fabric I have added to my stash in the past few weeks.  Most purchases have been made with a focus on specific projects on my future quilts list.  I must admit a couple of jelly rolls and charm squares and even some fat quarters were purchased because I just love the fabrics.

June Finish Goal

This small quilt top is my goal for  June.  I made the tops several months ago and hope to get it quilted and finished by the end of the month, which seems to be fast approaching.  I have been working on the binding on another quilt which will be a gift for one of my granddaughters.  This was number 10 on my project list which was the number chosen for the All People Quilt 2016 UFO Challenge.

It is so hard to just keep working on finishes, I must admit that I have started a few things and made plans for many more in the future.  I have also done a bit of fabric therapy shopping so my list of projects is getting longer and longer.
I hope you have had a good month so far and that you enjoy whatever creative activity makes your heart happy.
Rejoice in the Lord Always
