Stitching Along

Jut a few things happening in my sewing room over the past couple of weeks.  My husband and I have both been sick off and on for a couple of weeks.  It appears that we are both on the mend.  I did sneak away to my sewing room but did not spend much time each visit, I would get tired and end up reading, watching television or more often sleeping.

Below are some of the things I did work on when I got the chance.

Building Foundations Sampler  by Row House Creations blocks ten and eleven.  I have the instructions for the next block but have not begun yet.

The block below is the Sugar Block Club 2014 January Block.

This fabric I have collected, most of it Fig Tree fabrics, is for the 2014 Aurifil Thread Designer of the Month Challenge.  I love Fig Tree fabrics and really love Joanna Figueroa's new line Honeysweet.  Melanie has the line at her fabric shop Fabric Chicks so I try to pick some up each time I visit.

I made two copies of the January Block.  I am going to try to make two of most if not all of the blocks.

I have actually limited myself to a certain number of Block of the Month projects.  There are so many great opportunities to stitch along but I am determined to limit myself and be able to share some finished projects here each month, not just new beginnings.

I Had Some Time For BOM Rehab

Completing Block of the Month blocks or anything for that matter has been a little tough lately.  I am excited that I was able to catch up with my Aurifil Designer Block of the Month blocks.

The August block was designed by Bari J, inspired by her beautiful line of fabric called Lilly Belle

The September block was designed by Amy Ellis.

Visit the Aurifil Designer Block of the Month Flickr site and you can see the blocks made by other stitchers.  You will also want to visit Sinta at Pink Pincushion to see what has been happening in BOM Rehab.

Auriful Designer Block of the Month - July

I have not had much time to blog in the past week or so but I have completed a few things I hope to share this week.  First I want to share the Aurifil Designer block of the month designed by Sarah Fielke  I have been buying Aurifil thread to complete this project and I enjoy using it in my embroidery.  I have changed the colors just a little if I don't have all of the colors suggested in the project.

This will be a fun quilt to put together.  You can check out the Flickr site here and see the other blocks made with these designs.

I will be joining BOM Rehab at Pink Pincushion
