Several weeks ago Kathy at A Delightsome Life started writing posts about Victoria Magazine, old and new, and how it has been an inspiration. She posts each Tuesday and others link to her post. I have read Victoria Magazine for many years and have most of the issues I have ever received. While looking through some of my old magazines I came across an article in the June 1999 issue.
In this issue there is an article called Embroidering on the Walls, introducing Victoria's new line of wallpaper
I remember reading the article and being drawn to the teacup wallpaper pictured here
I didn't order the wallpaper right away but several months later I found this border while out browsing and just had to buy it.
It was a few years later before we hung it up in our kitchen
I was thinking about making some changes, maybe taking it down, doing something new. After reading the Victoria Magazine article again and remembering what my teacup border seems to say
"Slow down, have a cup of tea."
I have decided to keep it where it is indefinitely.
As I looked around our kitchen and dining room I began to see how much this magazine has influenced me over the years.
Victoria Magazine's teacup wallpaper border did influence the the feel of our home.
"Sit down, relax, and have a cup of tea."
