Snapshots Quilt Top Complete. Yeah!

My May project for the 2016 UFO Challenge at Allpeoplequilt was to complete my Snapshots quilt top.  Yeah, I did it!  This quilt top is pretty big, my tall son-in-law Kevin had trouble holding this one up.  I will get the back ready too take to have it quilted later this week.

I will link to 2016 Finish Along Q2

I really like how this quilt top turned out.  I plan to embroider eyes on the dog and cat blocks and have a camera block to finish for the back before having it quilted.

The block below is one from an old block of the month that I have been trying to work on.  The quilt will be pretty when I get it all complete.

I have made four blocks for this project so far.
I will link up with Julie's post at The Crafty Quilter to share my May finish.

Embroidery Fun

I always have an embroidery or cross stitch project that I am working on.  I have completed a few in the past month or so that I thought I would share.

"Stitch On" a pattern from Bev at Flamingo Toes Blog.

Jenny of Elefantz design "A Year In The Garden."  January and December.

I am a little slower at completing these projects but still enjoy working on my embroidery.
Stitch On!

May Finish Goal

I thought I would post my goal for the month of May.  I think that posting it on my blog helps me to stay focused on completing it.  I have so many new projects that I would love to start but I want to see some finishes even more.  Number 7 on the list was chosen for the APQ  2016 Finish Along for the month of May.  My Snapshots quilt was number 7 on my list so that is what I plan to finish for May.  The blocks are complete and I have started cutting the pieces to put the quilt top together.  I hope to get this to the quilter by the end of the month.

Here are four of the twelves blocks, I have had fun putting these together and know this is going to be a great quilt.  Happy Stitching!

Birthday Flowers and My April Finish

I had a birthday a few weeks ago and I took pictures of the pretty flowers I received as gifts.

Flowers just seem to make me smile when I see them.

They make me think of the sweet family and friends that gave them to me.

I was able to do the final stitches on my April finish goal last night.  My Quirky Scrap quilt is now complete.  It even has a label attached.

This is such a fun cheerful quilt.  I am not sure where this quilt will reside but now it is ready to go when we decide who it is for.
