2015 Finish Along Q4 Goals

I have been focusing on completing projects this year and joining the 2015 Finish Along  organized by Adrianne at On the Windy Side has helped me to stay focused.   I have added quite a few projects for the 4th quarter of the finish along because I have so many unfinished projects and I hope to cross several off my list this quarter.

1.  These are some of the completed blocks for my Sunnyside quilt top, 6 are complete and I have 14 more to do. I want to have this completed and ready to be sent to the quilter.

2.  This quilt is quilted, my goal is to complete the binding.

3.  Five of the nine embroidery blocks complete, others ready to stitch and piece together.

4.  Tote bag Mystery Monday at Little Bits of This & That.  I had good intentions but did not even get this project started.

5.  The Abbey Bag pincushion kit.

6.  Christmas Tree Pincushion kit.

7.  Fruit Salad pincushion kit.

8.  Daisy Days embroidery wall hanging.  Complete it and hang it in my dining room.

9.  Quilt and bind this petals table topper.

10.  Quilt top complete - finish pieced backing and send to the quilter

11.  My Scrappy Quilt has been sent to the quilter, get it bound as soon as it gets back to me.

12.  I would love to use my JOY banner as a decoration this year.

13.  Quilt and bind this project so that I can hang it in our guest room.

14.  Complete this paper pieced Polar Bear pillow.

15.  Machine quilt and bind my Aurifil designer block of the month quilt.

16.  Complete the cross stitch ball jar and frame it.

17.  Machine quilt and bind my jelly roll bird quilt top.

I know that I have listed quite a few projects and I will be distracted by holiday sewing but I would sure be excited to complete several if not all of these projects.  Writing this post made me take a look around my sewing room and focus on some projects that I would love to call finishes.

Love Pinwheel Pastry Pincushion

I am excited about finishing one of my old projects.  My "Love Pinwheel Pastry" pincushion.  I had the embroidery completed some time ago and put the project aside.  I have a few more pincushion kits from the Shabby Fabrics pincushion of the month club.  I started out thinking I would complete each project as it arrived in the mail but that was not how things worked out.

I added this project to my list for the 2015 Finish Along which helped to motivate me to get to it.

I love the finished project and am looking for a small pedestal cake stand or candle holder to put it on.

I plan to add a few embellishments to the sides, I am not sure what I will use yet.

Fun project

On to the next pincushion kit.

Sprocket Pillows Finished

I made these sprocket pillows using a great tutorial found here at Cluck Cluck Sew.  They were made for my sister Becky.  The fabrics I used are scraps of  the Fig Tree fabrics used to make the quilt I gave her.  They are something that I have been planning to complete for quite some time.  I forgot to take pictures of  them so I snapped a couple of pics with my phone after I had given them to her.

They were fun to make and are a cheerful addition to the room, I will have to think about making a couple for our house.  We have a few places that could use a fresh look.

Another finish to cross off my list.  Hm mm, what should I work on next.  The list is long and I am looking forward to making it shorter.  I must admit that I have started new projects this year, it is so hard to resist, but my focus has been on finishing those I have started.   The 2015 Finish Along with Adrianne at On the Windy Side has helped to keep me focused on finishes.  Linking to the Q3 Finish Along at this post here.

A Sweet Finish

My August goal for ALYOF was to finish my Sew Sweet Simplicity quilt shown in this post.  All that was left to do was to add the binding.  I had already given this quilt to my sister as a Birthday gift so I wanted to finish it up right away.

Here the quilt is bound and labeled and ready for my sister.

I love the custom quilting Leslie did on this quilt.  I have always been happy with Leslie's work.
It is always nice to finish a project and I hope to share a few more finishes very soon.  I will be linking to the August Finishers party at Fiber of All Sorts and  Sew Bittersweet Designs.

2015 Finish Along 3rd Quarter Goals

I have chosen several projects I hope to complete in the next few months.  I will link this post with the 2015 Finish Along at On the Windy Side.  It helps me to set a few goals and it is always great to cross finished projects off my list.

JOY banner, the embroidery is done, now to sew the banner together.

This was on my goal list last quarter, I want to machine quilt and bind this myself.

This project was also on my list last quarter, now to get it framed or made into a wall hanging or large pillow.

This project is ready for quilting and binding.

I hope to get the backing put together, send this to the quilter and get it bound this quarter.

The embroidery is complete, now to get the pincushion made.

Fabric for a mystery tote bag, I have someone in mind to give this to as a gift.

Sweet Simplicity Quilt - it is as the quilter's now, I want to get it bound right away when it returns.

Another project from last quarter, no progress so far, maybe this quarter

I think this would be a great pillow.

Backing and binding needed for this small project that is part of a wall hanging I gave to a friend.  The little bible verses can be changed whenever she wants to change them.  This one needs backing and binding and I can give it to her.

Complete the cross stitch and get it in a frame and hang it in my kitchen.

Daisy Days, blocks embroidered and pieced, now to put it all together.

Two pillow tops for my sister, made from the same fabrics I used in her quilt.
I know that this is a lot for me to accomplish but I won't forget to enjoy the process and just finish what I can.
