Vintage Quilt Top

Vintage from Camille Roskelley's Simply Retro book.  I made this quilt top using fabrics I had.  Some were scraps so I even had to piece one of the square blocks below.  I think once it is quilted it won't be to noticeable.

The borders went on nicely so now I am ready to quilt it myself.  Finding the time is the biggest issue, I will share it when it is really complete.

I did a little survey in my sewing space of the projects that have been started, almost finished and the projects not yet started but all of the materials are sorted and ready to go.  I am going to count the projects in each category and  make a list.  Then I am going to post  about how I intend to complete and cross some projects off my list before the end of the year.  The trick will be to make myself stop starting new projects for a while.  Does anyone else have trouble with this?
So much to do, so little time.

Baby Love from Simply Retro

I am working on a project for week three of the Simply Retro Stitch Along at Jana Machado's Blog
This project is called Baby Love.  I had hoped to get more competed but life happens and I did not spend much time in my sewing room this week.  The blocks are all cut out and ready to sew together and I did manage to complete one block.

.

Here is my completed block.

Below are the other fabrics I will be using.  The fabric line is called Hall of Fame by Emily Herrick.

These quilt blocks go together pretty fast.  I have several extra charm squares so I think I will make my quilt top a little bigger.  I hope to be able to share the finished project soon.
