We do not have a fireplace so we use our oak bookcase as our mantel.
This is how it is decorated for fall.
I found the acorn runner on clearance last year.
The little sign was a gift in a swap from Pamela at From My Front Porch To Yours.
This fall arrangement was also a clearance item from last year so this is the first time I have used it.
I always seem to take pictures of myself with this mirror hanging above the bookcase but I like it hanging there.
These hand made wooden boxes my husband ordered for me many years ago when we were attending bible college. We didn't have much money but he found a way to surprise me and order them.

Your husband always finds the best gifts for you! My grandfather gave me a cedar box a few years ago and I love it. Funny how we never quite outgrow the interest in boxes. Your mantels is so festive and warm-looking. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed seeing your Autumn decorating... I always catch myself in the mirror when taking pictures too... it was fun to see you there. Everything looks so nice and I loved that each piece has special meaning to you.

I love it when my husband gets me a gift that is unusual from the traditional gifts. It means that he
ReplyDeletetook time to really think about what I would like.
But then we still laugh about the time I got a broom and dust ban for Valentines Day! Maybe it was just payback for the padded toilet seat he got for Christmas...
Thanks for coming to my party!
