Autumn "Mantel"

We do not have a fireplace so we use our oak bookcase as our mantel.
This is how it is decorated for fall.

I found the acorn runner on clearance last year.
The little sign was a gift in a swap from Pamela at From My Front Porch To Yours.

This fall arrangement was also a clearance item from last year so this is the first time I have used it.

I always seem to take pictures of myself with this mirror hanging above the bookcase but I like it hanging there.

These hand made wooden boxes my husband ordered for me many years ago when we were attending bible college.  We didn't have much money but he found a way to surprise me and order them.

  1. Your husband always finds the best gifts for you! My grandfather gave me a cedar box a few years ago and I love it. Funny how we never quite outgrow the interest in boxes. Your mantels is so festive and warm-looking. Thanks for sharing.

  4. I love to decorate for Autumn!!! The acorn runner is so sweet and I love your boxes, what a sweet hubby!!!

I haven't been around in the blog world much, it's been crazy busy here for me. If you think of it just say a prayer for me, lots of things happening and I feel like I'm going into a new season in my life. Taking baby steps so not to get ahead of God's timing.

  12. Who needs a fireplace when you have a great bookcase like that? The mirror above it really makes it a focal point for sure. Love your Autumn display. Best wishes, Tammy

  14. I love it when my husband gets me a gift that is unusual from the traditional gifts. It means that he
took time to really think about what I would like.

But then we still laugh about the time I got a broom and dust ban for Valentines Day! Maybe it was just payback for the padded toilet seat he got for Christmas...

Thanks for coming to my party!
