Christmas Tea Cup

I usually love decorating for Christmas.  I like taking my tubs of decorations out of the attic and opening them to find all of the things I haven't seen since last year.  Many of my decorations have memories attached which is even better.  This year I have been slow to get started on my decorating adventure.  A few of the tubs have been opened and closed and put back in the attic, I think I was a little intimidated by the project.  So now I'll take a moment to enjoy a cup of tea in my special Christmas teacup.

What should I brew, an herbal tea, English breakfast tea, or my go to tea, good old Red Rose?  I think it should be a tea with a spicy Christmas scent to help me get in the mood to decorate..

The tea is beginning to help, I feel like opening a few more tubs but when I look at the clock and see that it is late and I have a long day ahead at work tomorrow.  I close the lids to the tubs and get ready for bed.  I will have to try the same routine again tomorrow and add some chocolate and Christmas music, I am sure to get it done then.

Enjoy a cup of tea today!

  1. Christmas music definitely helps. I feel a little flat about Christmas this year myself. Maybe once my tree is up ; )
    Blessings on your day.

  3. I've been having a difficult time with Christmas decorating too...it's been hard to just get started. My daughter gave me a new tin of tea last night. Maybe I need to get a pretty Christmas tea cup (plus music and chocolate) for some motivation!
Your tea cup is so lovely!

  4. How pretty, just the cup puts me in the Christmas spirit. Put on some music and add chocolate and you will be all set.

  5. Baking, cooking, knitting or just cleaning gets only better with a bit of music! The reward is a cuppa at the end!
Lovely china by the by (especially the teapot!).
May His blessings surround you and yours this special Season!

  7. Hello Sherry,
I think this vintage cup is my all time favorite Christmas tea cup! I love the poinsettia and the gold trim. Your holiday tea pot and napkin rings are wonderful too.
I also love getting the "tubs" out each year. So many memories!

  8. That is beautiful china. I dont have any CHristmas china. Well actually I do but mine is more utilitarian than that. I love anything with Holly on it and will look out for some. I do collect tea cups but so far have not found anything Christmas themed.

  9. Oh wow, this is lovely, lovely china! I have Lenox's Kelly -- which is green and gold and though not specifically "Christmas" china, makes do very nicely! But I adore the poinsettias on yours!! :)
