March Project Plans

I have so many projects that I would love to finish but there have been many distractions this past month.  We had some water come in to our basement apartment,  The water made it necessary to take up carpet and flooring.  My sewing room had to be completely emptied.  As we were packing I set what I could aside and I have just a few projects available to work on.  Most of my fabrics and unfinished projects are packed safely in plastic tubs but are not so easy to get to.

Below I have pictures of four blocks from and inspirational quilt that I have been working on for some time.  The designs were created as a block of the month by Jennifer Reynolds of Jenny of Elefantz.

The blocks have been folded in a project bag and will look much better when pressed and the pillow cover is complete.

Many of my favorite bible verses were used in these designs.  I was planning to complete all of the blocks and make a quilt but decided to share these with several of my friends.  I plan to make at least two pillow covers this month for some special ladies I know.  I hope to use all of the completed blocks in projects and that would be even better.  I look forward to working with these embroideries to make some special gifts for some special people in my life.

  4. I have those blocks traced, but have not stitched them. A great idea to use as pillows instead of a quilt! Good Luck!

  6. Beautiful embroidery! I can feel your pain with the water in the basement, as I face packing up my entire sewing loft within a month as we are putting in dormers....
