My friend Kerri brought me this bouquet of peonies from her garden the other day. I should have taken a picture right away, they were even prettier when I first received them. The next day I decided to walk through our garden and cut come peonies before the rain beat them down.
I made several bouquets and placed them throughout the house.
A bouquet of peonies is rich to the senses
They added such beauty anywhere they were put.
Peonies, one of the many blessings of summer.
I am linking to Pink Saturday at How Sweet the Sound for the first time.
I love fresh flowers - they cheer me up looking at them. Your peonies are lovely plashes of color throughout your home!
ReplyDeleteLucky you! Saw you at Pink Saturday. I just love peonies.
ReplyDeleteI love Peonies. Their fragrance is just amazing. Is that a Longaberber pitcher? I love mine. That's where I put my cuttings from the garden :)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite flower! Love them and they always look pretty!
ReplyDeleteHappy 4th.

I saw a yard the other day that was completely filled with crazy-growing peonies, like they never pruned them or tied them up. That is the yard for me! It was gorgeous, and really lacy-looking. Your flowers are beautiful. Kerri is a good friend.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! Ours bloom in May, here in E TN. I miss them!
ReplyDeleteVery Pretty - Fresh flowers always make a house more homey.
ReplyDeleteHappy Pink Saturday Sherry Sweetie...
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous and scented share today. I love peonies, don't see them here in Phoenix, I believe it is just to darn hot. These 116+ temps we are having have just about burnt up all of my garden flowers. Can't water them enough for happiness I am afraid.
I love your peonies shared about the home. The one in the tussie mussie of course just stole my heart. How pretty it looks.
Thank you for sharing sweetie. I am your newest follower from Country Wings in Phoenix. Country hugs, Sherry
Happy Pink Saturday and Happy Independance Day! Your peonies are beautiful! Twyla

Hi Sherry, your peonies are so lovely! I can imagine the fragrance. I wish I could keep mine inside, but my hub is too allergic and is suffering badly with allergies this year.
ReplyDeleteHave a great 4th!

Peonies are one of my favorite flowers. Yours still look great even after a couple of days. Happy 4th of July and PS!
ReplyDeleteSo many bloggers have shared their peonies. They are so pretty. I have never had them, but will try some next spring.
ReplyDeleteWelcome to Pink Saturday. This is only my 2nd time. I'm new too! Your flowers are beautiful! Wish we had those here in Florida. Guess it's too hot for them. I've never grown flowers like that.
ReplyDeleteHave a Happy and Safe 4th of July.
Hugs,
LaDonna
Thanks for sharing your many lovely peonies. Our season in central Virginia is over so I appreciate seeing yours.
ReplyDeleteYour peonies are gorgeous! I wish they lasted longer. I noticed your blue Longaberger pottery in the photo. I have the same piece. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your peonies- breath taking beautiful. Ours were spent by end of May. Good news, my neighbor doesn't like her white ones and will give me them in the fall to plant. Can you believe it?- someone not liking peonies?
