nothing makes me think of Spring more than a bouquet of Lilacs. My mom had several bushes and I can remember the scent being quite intoxicating this time of year.
our season is quite far behind, the rhubarb is barely peeking through the ground. Can't wait for our lilacs to start, the leaves have tiny buds!! Even though we did hit 80 yesterday, we have some 50's in forecast and a few rouge snow/dirt or snirt piles in parking lots. It has been a slow Spring in ND.
Oh dear! No blooms as yet here on the island! Like you I display lilacs everywhere when I can. Our island seems to be on yet another time/weather zone but I am hoping...Later maybe! Blessings,
Thanks so much! I love lilacs and their smell is delicious. When I was little, I used to chew on their blossoms. Liked the taste! :) Your bouquet is beautiful.
