Fat Quarter Stars Quilt Almost Finished

I completed block 12 of the Fat Quarter Stars Block of the Month.  This block was designed by Konda of  Moose on the Porch Quilts.  The block is called "Faceted Friendship."

Now with all twelve blocks complete it is time to add  borders to the twelve Fat Quarter Stars Blocks. 

I cut strips from the fat quarters to make borders for each block, I liked the way it made the blocks pop.

My fat quarters are from the Secret Garden collection by Sandi Henderson, part of the Midnight Garden palette. 

This is the block that was chosen as a finalist in the Crazy Old Ladies Quilts block contest where there is still time to vote here.  I like it better with the borders on it.

This is what the quilt looks like at this point.  I have to find some fabric to complete the outer border.  Not sure what color I will use, I am leaning toward the olive green, what do you think?
