What's Bloomin In Our Garden?

I was back to work after a couple of weeks off and things went pretty well.  I still have a little energy left so I decided to grab my camera and take my Monday stroll around our garden.  What will I find for a "Bloomin Tuesday" post.  As usual, I was surprised by how many new flowers I found.

Liatris spicata or Gay Feather in the back garden

Coreopsis (I think its moonbeam)

Campanula rotundifola olympica

Shasta Daisies (short version)

Hydrangea (small compact plant with white flowers)

Hostas near the front deck

Perennial Phlox

Closer view of the phlox.  I planted two plants last summer so these are my first blossoms.

Whorled Sage and our cat Lily
Salvia verticillata "Purple Rain"
She has been following me around so I let her sneak into the picture.

Astrantia or Masterwort
This is one of my very favorite plants, it grows in the shade of a Japanese Maple near our back porch

I always enjoy strolling through my garden to see what's bloomin.  I hope you enjoyed your visit too.
I will be linking to Bloomin Tuesday at MsGreenThumbJean's

  1. Hi Sherry,
I don't think I've visited your blog before. It sure is pretty. I love your blooms! I counted 6 that I also grow, and 2 more of them, I grow a different variety of. That last one, is the only one I've never grown. It sure is loaded with blooms!

  2. Hi Sherry... LOVE the flowers! that last one is unfamiliar to me, but it's gorgeous. I love your cat Lily sneaking into the shot; she's a diva!
Love your phlox, too. Mine is pink, and is not doing well this year; don't know if it's the heat but I suspect it might be.

Our hydrangea bushes are FULL of bloom, though.
    Yay.
    Thanks for sharing!

  9. The flowers are absolutely gorgeous. I wish we had a place to plant our own garden, but for the time being, I have to be satisfied with pots of plants which are doing quite well this year. I wanted to thank you for visiting my studio at Amanda's Baskets and for leaving your lovely comments.

  16. What a pretty garden Sherry!! I'm so new to the gardening arena and know so very little. I truly value posts like yours that help me to see the "real" appearance of plants that I read about in the gardening books. Thank you so much!
