Fall Family Luncheon Table

I invited my Aunts and Sisters who live close enough to attend to a Fall Lunch.  It is not often that we all get together and the last date I had chosen did not work out.  Three of my five Sisters and three of my four Aunts were able to make it.
They have all declined when asked if I could put their pictures in my post so I am showing my tablescape instead.

I started with the Goodwill tablecloth I purchased for $3.50 a while back and a table runner I have had for some time.

Here is the table almost set, oops I forgot the water glasses

Another view, same angle, still no water glasses

Each place had an acorn ornament with their name written on a paper leaf

The napkins are the handmade linen napkins I purchased at a garage sale last summer with several other linens.  I didn't pay much at all.

The last of my hydrangea from the plant outside my dining room window

The backside of my amber glass turkey and one of my turkey candlesticks, both given to me by my sister Lynda.  I won't be hosting Thanksgiving dinner this year so I wanted my special things to come out of their boxes.

My new glass cloche.  I challenged myself to find things to put under it that we had here in the house.   I was not to buy anything new.

This is another view of my turkey dish which held jam at lunch time

Finally, a picture with the water glasses on the table
We also used coffee mugs but I had those by the coffee pot

The view from the kitchen

Our potato soup was served from this tureen.
It was a wedding gift we received from my grandmother Nana, 38 years ago.

It was a blessing to spend time with my Aunts and Sisters
Aunt Jean and my sisters Laurie and Becky were not able to be with us.
Nana, Aunt Marj and my mother Marie, who have all gone home to be with the Lord were also missed.

We had a good time just being together and catching up and I am thankful for the time we had.

I am linking to Tablescape Thursday at Between Naps On The Porch.  It is fun to see all of the creative tables, take a look.

  15. Lovely home & you are very tidy.

Love the cloche with your treasures. It don't need new things while you have hidden treasures in your cupboards.

    Happy TS..
